At Markham Pilates, our instructors have a minimum of 5 years of training and teaching experience.
Additionally, they have completed the instructor training courses and workshops offered by the Korean association, allowing them to provide personalized instruction, even in group classes.
Meet The Experts

Jina Park (Director)
Jina was a high school judo representative and went on to major in golf, bodybuilding, and swimming at university.
She currently holds a 4th-degree black belt in judo and certifications as a bodybuilding and swimming instructor.
With over 10 awards in judo competitions and 3 awards in bodybuilding competitions, Jina now serves as the president of the International Park Pilates Association. Leveraging her extensive experience across various fields of physical education, she has completed numerous specialized workshops, including anatomy, physiology, and pre/postnatal care.
As a sports psychology major, Jina supports her clients in maintaining a healthy mental state during her sessions.
She offers a wide range of programs, including rehabilitation, pre/postnatal care, golf motion care, posture correction, and athlete training. Drawing on her vast experience and expertise, she is committed to promoting the health and well-being of her clients.
Rather than focusing solely on classical or modern Pilates, Jina tailors programs to suit each client’s unique goals and needs, ensuring optimal results.

Areum Kim
Areum is a certified Pilates instructor and exercise prescription specialist from Korea. She holds the Medi & Cal Pilates Certification, which includes anatomy, mat, reformer, chair, barrel, and Cadillac Pilates.
Additionally, she has completed workshops on disc injury management and fascial line anatomy, making her highly specialized in rehabilitation training. She is also a certified expert in prenatal and postnatal exercise, as well as body alignment correction.
Areum specializes in body alignment correction and has extensive experience working with cases of scoliosis and body imbalances. Furthermore, as an exercise prescription specialist, she designs personalized exercise programs tailored to individual needs and excels in improving motion range (ROM) with her expertise.
Her classes are highly recommended for those seeking rehabilitation, posture correction, or prenatal and postnatal care.

Kimberly Kim
Kimberly Kim holds the International Park Pilates Certification, which includes expertise in anatomy, mat, reformer, chair, barrel, and Cadillac Pilates. She is fluent in both Korean and English, making her classes accessible to a diverse range of students.
Her sessions are characterized by a variety of movement variations and high-intensity training through cardio exercises. With over 10 years of extensive training experience, she focuses primarily on foundational core strengthening.
For beginners, Kimberly’s classes come highly recommended.
